The program delved into the complex issues surrounding the financing, pricing, and scaling of industrial climate solutions. At the same time, new connections and collaborations were actively being forged. The stories shared by Jan van der Tempel (Ampelmann Operations) and Andreas Saari (Paebbl) left a lasting impression. Their openness about both the challenges and successes demonstrated what can be achieved through vision, perseverance, and collaboration.
During a guided tour of the Innovation Dock, attendees had the opportunity to explore three innovative companies up close. One of them, Coastruction, is working to restore coral reefs using 3D-printed cement structures - a sustainable solution for preserving fragile marine ecosystems. Another company, Zepp.solutions, focuses on developing hydrogen fuel cells that generate clean energy, marking an important step toward a zero-emission future. Finally, ZEF B.V. (Zero Emission Fuels) presented their groundbreaking method for converting CO₂ into methanol, a sustainable fuel that can help reduce dependence on fossil energy sources.
The afternoon concluded with a boat tour through the Port of Rotterdam, followed by a BBQ at the RDM Kantine to round off a successful day.
Many thanks to all participants for their presence, and to the organizers and partners, including Sander Jongeneel (Commercial Manager), Jard van Lent (Innovation Connector), and the Climate Tech team.
