The Completion of The Warehouse

Tuesday saw completion of The Warehouse! The building is now occupied by tenants Ampelmann, CONCR3DE, and De Haas. We celebrated the handover with some fries.

## The Warehouse
The Warehouse consists of four business units, each 1,000 m². The project began in 2018 with a feasibility study for an 8,000 m² site between the Submarine Wharf and the Shiplift. Now, the building and its systems have been delivered as energy neutral.

## The Tenants 
CONCR3DE, an innovative startup in 3D printing, is moving from the Innovation Dock to Het Magazijn. Ampelmann, which has been operating from RDM since 2007, is expanding its facilities at RDM to include Het Magazijn. De Haas Shipyards, a family business from Maassluis specializing in government and military vessels, is expanding its activities at RDM with two units in The Warehouse.

JINC Boss of Tomorrow

Last week, Vivienne de Leeuw (CFO) and Egbert van der Wal (Head of Port Development) handed over the baton to two young talents: Jaimie and Vincent.

They participated in JINC Boss of Tomorrow, the wonderful initiative of JINC Nederland, which offers young people a unique opportunity to experience the world of business up close.

From brainstorming on strategic issues to getting to know various departments. Jaimie and Vincent were given an insight into what it means to be a leader at the Port Authority.

Not only educational for the young people but also inspiring for the Port Authority. Because the fresh perspective of the leaders of tomorrow provides new energy and ideas.

X-Laboratory, proudly supporting and empowering Jan De Nul and REEL SAS, celebrates the launch of the most advanced next-generation Motion Compensated Pile Gripper ever deployed to market. This pioneering technology, developed for Jan De Nul, contributed to a successful operation of the first XL monopile at the RWE Thor Wind Project - completed within the first 36 hours on 29 April 2025. At the solid foundation of this breakthrough lies X-Laboratory’s proprietary DynaMotion™ Motion Compensation Technology and the X-Control Guidance System, offering unmatched installation accuracy even under the harshest offshore conditions, including long-period swells. Leveraging space-grade sensor and control technology, the Motion Compensated Pile Gripper delivers exceptional robustness and performance, enabling continuous operation on high-gain Dynamic Positioning (DP) settings despite ground contact - setting new standards for offshore installation efficiency, economics, reliability and safety.
