Students in action

RDM Rotterdam
In the Aqualab at the Innovation Dock on the RDM campus, students lean over their test setups as waves crash against scale models, data is discussed and ideas are exchanged. Moments later, they proudly present their prototypes to industry partners: a mobile flood barrier, an emergency measure for the Maeslantkering, or a sheet pile wall that generates sustainable energy.

This is the result of Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences, and of how programmes such as Civil Engineering, Water Management and Mechanical Engineering combine their knowledge and strengths in the Water Engineering minor. RDM Rotterdam isn’t just a place for start‑ups and scale‑ups, it’s also for students who love learning by doing.
