This transfer means that the Submarine Wharf comes under the management of two Rotterdam-based organizations with a proven track record in event production. Bureau Vermaeck, known for large-scale public events such as Rotterdam Unlimited Summer Carnival and the Kralingse Bos Festival, will operate the venue in collaboration with Bremer Media & Events, a specialist in event production.
“The Submarine Wharf is a place full of character and possibilities. Rotterdam through and through”, says Eva van der Vegt, Director of Bureau Vermaeck. “We look forward to creating new stories here and bringing the venue to life with extraordinary events.”
Rick van der Vegt, Director of Bremer Media & Events, shares this excitement: “This location breathes history while offering ample space for innovation. We want to harness the power of this place to deliver events as impressive as the Submarine Wharf itself.”
This step further develops the Submarine Wharf as a venue for events that foster innovation, technology, and connections between the city and the port. At the same time, it will continue to host cultural and social events, a place where Rotterdam’s energy remains tangible.
The administrative transfer with Rotterdam Ahoy has now been completed, making Bureau Vermaeck and Bremer Media & Events the new operators of the Submarine Wharf. The collaboration with Rotterdam Ahoy will continue through a partnership, as is the case with several other Rotterdam-based organizations.
