New ferry schedule
From January 2026, access to Heijplaat will be further improved. The Watertaxi Rotterdam bicycle ferry between RDM/Heijplaat and Marconistraat/M4H will operate throughout the entire day.
This makes the crossing more flexible and better aligned with both commuter traffic and recreational use.
The ferry will depart every 30 minutes, meaning cyclists are no longer dependent on limited time slots. During the morning rush hour (7:00–11:00), the service will be reinforced on weekdays to accommodate increased demand.
The expanded ferry service will run until 31 December 2026. It’s an important step toward stronger connections and sustainable mobility in and around the RDM/M4H area.
